This tool is my favorite for making smaller felt pieces like scarves, hats, mittens, and other accessories. I created it following the idea of the original small Felt Helper, knowing how efficient and convenient the little roller is. If you've taken some of my online courses, Small Accessories or Structural and Textural Methods, you may have noticed that I've been using a similar ribbed dowel for rolling felt pieces with or without bubble wrap. The ribbed surface speeds up the felting process and is a real helper at all stages, including the wet/soapy stage of forming felt fabric and the soap-free fulling stage at the end. This durable and handy tool may become one of your frequently used favorites, just like it became one for me.
